Planning a workshop or RV garage: door heights, bays, and slab goals
Sizing bays, planning overhead doors, and deciding on slab versus gravel.
Start with what moves through the doors—RV height and width, equipment tracks, or future lifts. That drives rough opening height, jamb details, and whether you need a taller eave.
Bay depth matters as much as width: long rigs need approach space inside and turning room outside. If you want a lift later, slab thickness and reinforcement should be discussed before the pour.
Gravel floors work for some storage shells; heated shops and detail work usually justify a slab tied to footings per plan. We capture those choices in writing so allowances match how you will use the building.
